Growing Together at Project Sanctuary

To our incredible staff and volunteers—thank you. Truly. You are the heart and soul of our retreats, the bread and butter that makes everything possible. The care, energy, and passion you bring create meaningful moments for our kiddos and families, and we are so grateful for each of you.

Project Sanctuary retreats are intentionally designed to meet families exactly where they are. As staff and volunteers, we have the privilege of stepping into that space with them—helping keep the environment open, safe, and welcoming. It’s sacred work, and it matters.

As we all know, no two retreats are ever the same. Each one brings different needs, emotions, and opportunities. Because of that, flexibility is essential. Our retreats need room to grow, shift, and become what they need to be in the moment.

With growth comes change. Each year, we learn more, refine more, and make improvements along the way. We invite all staff and volunteers to grow with us—arriving at each retreat with open hearts and open minds, ready to move forward rather than expecting things to be “how they’ve always been.” Letting go of old habits or past ways of doing things allows space for something new and even better to emerge.

Our curriculum will continue to evolve. Activities will advance. All of these changes are made with one purpose in mind: to help families make the most of their precious time together and to support the depth, healing, and peace they are seeking. When families show up open to what the day may bring, we have the opportunity—and responsibility—to meet them with that same openness.

We’re also excited to welcome new staff members into our community. They bring fresh talents, perspectives, and energy, and we can’t wait to see how they will help continue to move our program forward.

Thank you for walking alongside us, for embracing growth, and for being part of what makes Project Sanctuary such a special place.
