Volunteers are the backbone of our program. Each year, our dedicated volunteers give back to veterans and their families with the gift of time, totaling more than 10,000 hours last year.
We would love for you to join the Project Sanctuary family. Volunteer to help at an event or a therapeutic retreat and be part of changing how military families heal.
What is your passion? How do you want to pay it forward?
Volunteer of the Year
In 2020, Project Sanctuary lost a dear friend, and longest serving board member, Rand Case.
In his memory, we have created the Rand Case Volunteer of the Year Award given to those who understand our mission, the great needs of our military families and passion to selflessly serve.
Nominations are given by Project Sanctuary staff and board members and this year’s winner goes to Doug and Ann Peterson.
Doug and Ann have been part of our volunteer family since the beginning and in 2020 alone, worked 4 retreats with 240 hours each in devoted time. Ann even broke her leg, rehabbed and returned to help at a retreat after! They will be presented with an American Flag at our Texas retreat in February.
