First-Ever Family Resource Weekend a Hit

What would happen if we flipped the normal resource fair model on its head and made it all about the veterans and not the organizations? Project Sanctuary is known for being innovative and listening to our military families, and this June we were honored to launch our very first Family Support Resource Weekend.

We hosted our veterans and their loved ones at the beautiful Glen Eyrie Castle and Conference for for a three-day weekend in June. Our military couples enjoyed amazing meals, scenery, sessions focused on goals and dialogue with the best of the best Veterans Service Organizations.

Our veterans and their loved ones left empowered with the tools needed to reach their next steps and the ability to help others in their communities.

"We were familiar with a several of the presenters, but I learned about new services they had to offer. Project Sanctuary done an incredible job! I have all the resources we need for our family. Now it's up to us to put them into action."

- Vicente and Tammy Vitela, participating military family

Many thanks to the wonderful nonprofits making huge impacts who shared their weekend with us:
