Stephanie joined Project Sanctuary in September 2023, bringing with her a robust background in grant management, program implementation, and grant writing. With over a decade of experience spanning academia, nonprofit organizations, and local government, she offers a multifaceted perspective to her role.
Prior to joining Project Sanctuary, in her most recent role, Stephanie served as a Management Analyst for local government, where she provided direct oversight and support of several high-impact federal, state, and local grant programs. Her responsibilities included strategic planning, compliance monitoring, stakeholder coordination, and data-driven reporting. She has also held various roles in development and project management, consistently working to enhance organizational capacity and community outcomes.
Stephanie’s professional work has frequently centered around supporting diverse and underserved populations, with a strong emphasis on equity, access, and measurable impact. Her grant portfolio has included initiatives in resilience, brownfields, housing, and community services.
Stephanie is also a proud military spouse. Her husband, a U.S. Navy Special Operations veteran, served for 10 years and completed three combat deployments to Afghanistan and Somalia during the height of Operation Enduring Freedom. As someone who deeply understands the unique challenges and sacrifices faced by military families, Stephanie is passionate about supporting this community. Her decision to join Project Sanctuary reflects a meaningful alignment of her professional skill set with her personal mission: to serve those who serve.
Stephanie holds a Master of Arts in International Studies, specializing in Comparative and Regional Studies, as well as a Graduate Certificate in Global Health.
