Missy Hyatt, CTRS

Chief Programs Officer

Missy finds joy in introducing other people to the healing properties of the outdoors and recreation. She truly believes those who play together, stay together.

Missy has been with Project Sanctuary since February 2011 serving in multiple positions, including Youth Program Coordinator, Director of Programs and Special Events, and Director of Programs and Volunteers. In 2018, she was promoted to Chief Programs Officer where she manages the program coordinators and all retreat teams.

Missy has a bachelor’s degree in Leisure Services with an emphasis in Therapeutic Recreation and is a Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (CTRS). She has been a CTRS for 13 years. Missy previously worked in the Recreation Department at the Veteran Affairs Medical Center in Oklahoma.

Missy lives in NW Arkansas, with her husband and son. If you can’t find her; check the mountains.
