8th Annual OPS Gala Takes Place May 18 to Support Military Families

DENVER - Project Sanctuary’s annual OPS Gala will take place May 18, 2019 at the CU South Denver Campus. Presented by First Command, the military event of the year aims to raise more than $200,000 to change how military families heal after service.

Hundreds of guests from around the country come together to honor our nation’s heroes and support their journey to hope.

For the first time ever, the gala will enable guests to go on their own journey with experiential, interactive activity stations mirroring Project Sanctuary’s Therapeutic Retreat and Family Support programs. Individual tickets to the gala and table sponsorships are available at bit.ly/OPSGala2019.

“This year’s gala will be our most impactful yet,” said Project Sanctuary CEO and Founder Heather Ehle. “We’re giving people the chance to experience first-hand the same transformation our military families do. As an organization, we’re always innovating, and our gala is fully sponsored, so every dollar we raise will go directly to helping military families”.

The event will be emceed by Cathy Taylor and Dan Hardee from 99.5 The Mountain. In addition to presenting sponsor First Command, the OPS Gala is supported by PDC Energy, Aimco Cares, Chatham Financial, and ATBS.

“The OPS Gala is a unique opportunity to directly contribute to changing the lives of military families who desperately need our help,” said Ehle. “When one person serves, their whole family serves. We’re committed to helping the entire family heal as a unit, and are one of the only organizations in the country doing that.”

Founded in Colorado, Project Sanctuary has served more than 1,400 families from across the country. More than 80% of veterans served by the organization have combat-related injuries, including Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI). Four out of five Project Sanctuary families report financial instability.
