Partnership to provide funding support, financial education classes and individual coaching
GRANBY, CO (February 26, 2013) – Project Sanctuary announced a new partnership today with First Command Financial Services to support the stability and strength of military families. First Command is making a $100,000 donation to Project Sanctuary and will serve as the organization’s exclusive financial planning partner, delivering financial education workshops and individual family financial coaching at all retreats and after.
“We are incredibly honored by First Command’s support,” said Heather Ehle, founder and executive director of Project Sanctuary. “The donation will enable us to address the critical financial needs of our families head on and actually provide a much needed service.”
The donation was presented today at a national press conference at 1:15 p.m. at the Reserve Officer Association’s “Top of the Hill” Conference Center in Washington, DC.
“Another tremendous benefit of our partnership with First Command is that it will enable a significant expansion of the Healthy Marriage and Financial classes we incorporate into each retreat,” Ehle said. “First Command will participate in the retreats by sending husband-and-wife teams who will lead workshops and provide personalized support to these families. The workshops at the retreats will lay a strong financial education foundation, and the individual family coaching services will strengthen both the support we continue to provide to each family for two years after each retreat and the chances for their financial success.”
The next Project Sanctuary retreat is scheduled to begin on Friday, March 1, 2013.
