Christopher proudly joins the Project Sanctuary team as a veteran of the United States Marine Corps, with 29 years of non-profit camp executive and development experience, raising over $45M over his career to date. Highlights from his career include being an Executive Director of Camping for the YMCA of Colorado Springs & YMCA of Greater Seattle. At Camp Orkila on Orcas Island, with over 100 years of history, this team annually empowered over 22,000 children, teens, and families into the outdoors. During his tenure with the YMCA, he implemented innovative annual programs, resulting in successful development campaigns, including annual support, capital, and endowment.
Recently, Christopher was the Denver Director of Philanthropy with Paul Newman’s Roundup River Ranch. Working alongside team members and guidance from the board, donations from the Denver community tripled in three years. Christopher managed a successful $1.5M capital campaign gift funding a new cabin. He is also proud to have begun the annual Fall Festival at Chatfield Farms, attracting hundreds of participants no cost.
Christopher is proud to be a father of two boys. Together, they are in constant pursuit of adventure in the beautiful state of Colorado. He is excited to introduce his sons to the mission of Project Sanctuary mission.
